11.5.2.1 Platform Interoperability with Assistive Technology
At the recent International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) event hosted by the IAAP and Vially in the Wayfinding Centre in Dublin, I attended one of the workshops to discuss upcoming drafted criteria for the EN 301 549. The purpose of this workshop was to see if the drafted criteria was understandable and clear.
The Criteria that my group looked at was 11.5 Interoperability with assistive technology. The first thing we asked was what was the main purpose of the criteria. The criteria states that “Platform software shall provide a set of documented platform services that enable software that provides a user interface running on the platform software to interoperate with assistive technology.”
